Celebrate Deepening

In 2012 I had the good fortune to be involved with the installation of a labyrinth in Wilmot, Nova Scotia, in Atlantic Canada.
The schedule was tight, and the weather was not ideal, nevertheless a dedicated team arrived to do the job.
When we arrived, we saw our raw material:

We set about planning the path with pegs and ropes.

Slowly we moved rocks from the pile into position.

and the pattern emerged.

Thanks to the hard work and loving care of Carol at Nan's Rock Shop, that same labyrinth has matured during the four years that have passed.

The labyrinth we created that day is not only still in use, it has been celebrated, updated and enhanced. The energy field now has plants and flowers added, along with this inviting sign.

Whatever the season, the labyrinth offers a view of the bounty of Mother Planet, and embraces all who arrive, whether they walk or simply meditate in this spot.

This garden path leads to its own centre, without forks or junctions. It can be used as a metaphor in many ways, including the journey towards self-understanding, as we seek to find our central Spirit.
What began as lines and ropes on the surface of the land, grew profound as the labyrinth emerged.
Albert Einstein is credited with saying "One cannot help but be in awe when one contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries to comprehend only a little of this mystery every day."  This is a worthy theme to take to the labyrinth and contemplate while moving forward on the path and in your life.
If we set aside time each day to examine the miracles and mysteries of life, we will deepen our human experience. We will, perhaps slow down a little, and notice the moment. We might stop, as the saying suggests, and smell the roses.
Each labyrinth is unique and has particular energy. Each one is also an expression of Cosmic energy which reveals itself to us through the labyrinth. There are many to be found: you can look for them at the Labyrinth Locator.
In my current location in Western Quebec, I have a smaller labyrinth to walk and to share with friends and clients. Use the information on the Contact Us tab to make arrangements. Come and simply walk, or learn more about the depth of the labyrinth, or begin the journey into the depth of your own life.
